This is the weblog of Matthew Lawren Hartke.
Matt is a young Christian whose favorite pastime is studying the Bible.
This blog is a place for Matt to register his thoughts on the Christian story–that is, the story found in the sixty-six books of the Christian Bible.
The point of this space, in Matt’s mind, is not to produce a tidy, self-contained systematic theology, but rather to make a humble contribution, through continual dialog with the Scriptures, to the larger task of “equipping the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:12-13).
Matt, his wife Becky, and their daughter Bethlehem live in Portland, Oregon.
